window > img trace
select logo
check preview in dialog box
mode > black and white or color(takes longer)
uncheck preview when done
click trace button when happy
object > expand > ok
object > ungroup - do this twice
delete the white stuff
WHY DO I GET THIS EVENTHOUGH MY MAX COMP SIZE IS 30K?
BECAUSE "some effects (like blurs, glows, drop shadows, etc.) can expand the image buffer for a layer."

fix: make sure there arent any of these effects on such a BIG precomp!
